I’ve spent over a decade working in the world of finance and accounting, and I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelming and complex it can feel when you’re trying to grow, stabilize, or rebuild. That’s why I built Adept — to merge accounting expertise with AI-powered automation and compliance infrastructure, so people don’t just survive financially, they thrive.

My Journey

I graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in Accounting, and soon after began my career in Nashville, Tennessee. I worked my way from junior accountant to staff accountant, to financial accountant, and eventually into senior accounting roles.

Along the way, I’ve managed multi-million-dollar reconciliations, overseen weekly wires exceeding $30 million, and worked across a wide range of industries — from non-profits and government entities to small businesses and large corporations. This experience gave me not only technical skills, but also the ability to understand the unique challenges different organizations face.

At the same time, I discovered a passion for technology. I began building automation systems from scratch, integrating tools that streamlined operations, eliminated inefficiencies, and brought accounting and tech together. That’s when Adept truly came to life — as a tech-driven financial firm designed for the future.
